A stately Victorian sterling silver tea service set. The craftsmanship of the melon-shaped piece is decorated with scroll patterns and flower patterns engraved throughout, giving a sense of the enthusiasm of silversmiths in the early Victorian era. The techniques used at the time give it a voluminous feel, a corsage finish on the lid, and a pedestal and legwork that makes it look like an object. In addition, the floral pattern trimming around the top and the acanthus decoration on the top of the handle are a special service set that symbolizes the beginning of the glorious Victorian era. The coat of arms engraved on both sides of the pot is an impressive design of three downward-pointing arrows tied together with a ribbon, and is thought to belong to the Earl of Wilton family.
